Privacy notice

This notice covers two different groups of people: those who open a link on bitli.me, and those who request access to the service.
If you opened a link
The link you followed was created by the organisation that messaged you. Bitli Corporation Ltd. operates the service that delivers it on their behalf. When the link is opened we record:
- the time it was opened;
- the device type, operating system and browser, as reported by your browser;
- the approximate country and city derived from the network connection;
- the referring page, when your browser supplies one;
- the customer reference the sending organisation attached to that link.
Your IP address is not stored. It is converted into a one-way value at the moment of the request, and only that value is kept — solely so that repeated automated requests can be told apart from a person. The value cannot be reversed into an address.
Opening a link sets no cookies and loads no advertising or third-party tracking. The destination address and customer reference are encrypted at rest.
The organisation that sent you the message is the controller of that information and decides how long it is kept. To ask what is held about you, or to stop receiving messages, contact them directly — they are named in the message you received.
If you requested access
When you complete the access request form we keep the name, work email address, company, messaging volume, channel and any notes you provide, together with the country the request came from and a one-way value derived from the connection, used to limit abuse of the form.
We use it only to assess and respond to your request. It is not added to a marketing list, not sold, and not shared with third parties. Your name, email address and notes are encrypted at rest. Ask us to delete the request at any time by writing to hello@bitli.me, and we will.
Where information is processed
The service runs on Cloudflare's global network, which processes requests at the location nearest the person opening the link. Records are stored in Cloudflare's managed database service.
